Importance of XML sitemap

Sitemaps is a technology which is used to display the pages on site, including URLs that may not be discoverable by crawling of search engines. In SEO, the most important part to submit the sitemaps so SEO Birmingham is also used this technology to increase the importance of SEO.
 A Site map is list of URLs of different web pages which are accessible or crawled by the crawler. Site map can be a document or a web page that lists the pages on web site in any form used as a web designing which makes easier to visit or find the web pages for visitor and search engine bots. Some developers discussed that site index is a term to rely the page functions, web visitors can see each term and information which contain the web pages on site map. It makes very easy to find the web pages or link list of different web pages for visitors. It contains A-Z index that provides access to particular content and general top-down view of the overall site contents.

There are various site maps available in market, but basically the xml sitemap is also used for Google or it is called as a Google sitemap. The webmasters submit an XML file to describe the data or structure of a website in Google site map which is a beta feature of the Google search engine. Site map provides the road map of web sites to the Google search engine by which it can be accessed or crawled a website more effectively.

•    2005: In 2005, Google introduced XML sitemaps specification which referred to as Google sitemaps.
•    2006: New featured was created called as sitemap protocol which include the Yahoo, MSN joined and Google sitemaps.
•    2007: sitemap protocol supported by ASK (search engine) and IBM.
